Why It Matters
There are 271 rivers in India.
Across them, 296 are officially classified as polluted.
Around 600 million people in India face water stress.
India is home to 18% of the world’s population, but has only 4% of the world’s water resources.
12 BILLION LITERS of sewage generated every day in the Ganga basin.

The Ganga is more than water. It is an ecosystem, a source of livelihood, and one of humanity’s most sacred rivers.

Our mission is to restore humanity’s sacred sites through collective service.
We bring together volunteers, local communities, schools, organizations, businesses, and partners to restore sacred waterways and places of environmental and cultural importance.
Through community cleanups, environmental education, and partnerships that give collected waste a second life, we’re creating cleaner environments while supporting local communities and encouraging long-term care for these places.
We believe everyone has something valuable to contribute.

How We Create Impact
Every restoration project starts with people coming together. Our work focuses on four areas that help create lasting change.
RESTORE
We organize community cleanups that restore sacred waterways and environmentally significant places, creating healthier spaces for both people and nature.
EDUCATE
We encourage environmental awareness through shared experiences, helping communities understand how small actions create lasting change.
TRANSFORM
Collected waste is given a second life through local upcycling partnerships, turning what was once discarded into something meaningful while supporting local livelihoods.
EMPOWER
We work alongside local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to create projects that strengthen communities and continue beyond each cleanup.
